Message	If it isn't your rack that got rebuilt, its possible the rack you got in place has some slight damage on the gear in the rack. 1/8"-1/4" is a tolerable allowance when it comes to a rebuild. I know in steering boxes there is an adjustment, but rack and pinion I believe everything is internal, no external adjustment. I would take it back if it really bothers you and have them fix it correctly. Just be glad it's that minimal, my Jeep has 5"-6" slop in the steering wheel, and that after adjustment and extensive front end replacement parts, its going under the knife this weekend for a new gear box.
